Two trucks, one phone, eleven years.
Klein Logistics started in 2014 with a single 2008 Freightliner Cascadia, a borrowed reefer trailer, and Walter Hernandez sleeping in the cab between Atlanta and Birmingham. The phone was his cell. There was no website, just a printed business card with the number on it.
The company grew because shippers kept calling back. By 2017 we had eight tractors and a small yard off Cowan Road. By 2020 we had moved into our current Acworth headquarters — 42,000 square feet of warehouse off Highway 92 — and added a brokerage desk to cover lanes our own fleet couldn't reach.
Today Klein runs 62 tractors, 71 trailers, and employs 94 people. We are still owned by the Hernandez family. We still answer the phone. We still measure ourselves by the loads we get right, not the loads we get paid for.

Answer the phone
Dispatch is staffed 24/7 from our Acworth office. No overseas call centers, no IVR mazes.
Own the equipment
We are asset-based. When you book Klein you book Klein — not a third-party carrier we found on a load board.
Keep the drivers
Our average driver tenure is 4.6 years, more than double the industry average. We pay weekly, run them home, and treat them like adults.
Document everything
Every load gets BOL, signed POD, temp logs (where applicable), and a tracking link the receiver can follow.
Leadership
Walter Hernandez — Founder & President. Started driving in 2007, founded Klein in 2014. Lives in Acworth with his wife and three kids. Coaches youth baseball when he isn't on the dock.
Linda Marsh — VP, Operations. Joined in 2016 after 14 years at a national LTL carrier. Runs the warehouse and dispatch floor.
Carlos Ruiz — Director of Safety. CDL-A holder, 22 years on the road. Runs driver onboarding, ELD compliance and our pre-trip program.
Joanne Park — Head of Brokerage. Joined in 2021. Built our carrier-vetting system from scratch; nothing covers without her team's sign-off.
